Mangaluru: A 32-year-old man went missing near Maravoor Bridge here, on November 2.
The missing person has been identified as Roshan Kumar (32), a resident of Devinagar, Kunjathbail.
According to his friends and neighbours, Roshan runs an Aluminium fabrication shop. On the evening of November 2, he had a fight with his family. Immediately at around 8:00 pm he is said to have hurriedly gone on his bike. Sensing danger, his friends followed him on their bikes, but they could not catch up with him. Soon they found his bike parked near the Maravoor Bridge with the engine still running.
After seeing the bike near the bridge, they tried to contact him, but Roshan had left his mobile at home. The local corporator also arrived at the spot and informed the Kavoor police, who then informed the fire brigade.
The fire tenders reached the spot and with the help of the locals searched for Roshan in the water till 9:30 pm but could not find any trace of him. As it was too dark, the search operation was stopped and will be continued on November 3, said the fire personnel.
The Kavoor police have taken the motorbike into their custody and investigation is on.
