Mangaluru: A group of three men dragged a nun into a auto at Pumpwell here on March 16.
According to sources, 28-year-old victim is pursuing her physiotherapy course in a reputable medical institution in Mangaluru. The victim who travelled from Thumbay by bus alighted at Pumpwell and was walking towards her hostel.
At that time a group of four men surrounded her and pushed her in the auto. Out of the four, two men got into the auto and took her towards Nanthur side. The men in the auto took her bag, watch and also snatched her mobile. When the auto slowed down at Nanthur, the victim jumped from it and escaped.
As soon as the victim jumped off she was thrown to the ground. Sensing danger the men fled from the scene. Later, people who had gathered took her to the hospital.
A case has been registered in the Kankanady police station.
