Mangaluru : According to reports from Pandeshwar Police Station, a team led by inspector Dinakar Shetty along with police constables from the same department stormed a house located on the main road, on the stretch between Marnamikatta and Koti Chennaya Circle (near Jeppu) and busted a prostitution racket, on Saturday, 16 May 2015. The police took action on receiving a tip-off that prostitution was going on at this house, which had been rented for the said purpose.
Three pimps namely Anwar hailing from Kerala, Chandrashekar from Bantwal, and Mubasheer from Kunjathbail were apprehended by the cops. Along with these pimps, a young lady has also been taken into custody by police for further enquiry. Rs 14,920 in cash, couple of mobile phones,business cards, a motorcycle, and a blender has been confiscated by the cops from the accused.
A case has been registered at the Pandeshwar Police Station, and further investigations are still going on.
