Mangaluru: Amogh Shetty (13), a student residing on Hat Hill, was run over by a bus at a junction near Baliga Stores in Bijai Kapikad on Tuesday evening.
He was riding a bicycle from home towards Bijai around 4 pm. At the junction at Kapikad, he lost control and rammed into a devian and fell on the road. As he lay in that condition, the Krishna Prasad bus on route 47 from KSRTC to Bajpe ran over him.
The front wheel of the bus is said to have passed over his legs. He was severely injured in the waist as well. He was admitted to a private hospital and has been kept in the ICU.
