Mangaluru: Three Young Women from District Go Missing in Separate Cases

Mangaluru: In cases reported from different parts of the district, three young women have gone missing, say the complaints at police stations.

Bantwal:

Ashwija (21), daughter of the late Harish Shetty of Mavinakatte in Chennaittodi village in Bantwal taluk, has been reported missing since Apr 2. That morning, she left home to visit the Polali temple and has not returned home since.

Her mobile phone responds with ‘switched off’ message. Her mother, in a complaint to the Punjalakatte police station, has suspected that she might have eloped with one Santosh with whom she was friendly.

Deepa aka Lavanya (18), daughter of Neelesh Poojary, left her grandmother’s house in Padumarnadu village with her clothings on Apr 6 and has not been seen since. She is 4’5″ tall and is of medium dark complexion. She wore pink-coloured top and trousers and a black shawl on. She speaks Tulu, Kannada, Hindi and Konkani of Goan accent.

Puttur:

Prameela (34), daughter of Elianna Gowda of Ermala in Kuntur, who had been given in marriage to Kusumadhar Gowda of Edamangala in Sullia taluk. They had a marital discord and she later stayed with her parents. On March 31, she reportedly left the house and has not returned yet, said her father in a complaint to the Kadaba police.
