Mangaluru: VHP and BD Stage Protest to Lift Ban on Togadia

Mangaluru: The activists of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishat staged a protest in front of the BJP office, PVS circle here on February 4.

Addressing the protesters  District president of VHP Jagadish Shenava, said that on February 8, the Vishwa Hindu Parishat is organizing a Convention ‘Hindu Viraat Samavesha’ in Bengaluru and Praveen Togadia is one of the speaker,  but he has been issued a notice on February 3, by the Bengaluru police prohibiting his entry into the city from February 5 to 10 which is condemnable.

Shenava said that the state government should leave its anti Hindu policy and allow Togadia to attend the convention in Bengaluru. If the ban will not be withdrawn, the VHP and BD will intensify their protest, if any untoward incidents take place during the protest the state government will be directly responsible, he warned.

State convenor of Bajrang Dal Sharan Pumpwell, said that the Police commissioner has issued a notice and prohibited Togadia from attending the ‘Hindu Viraat Samavesha’, which the Bajrang Dal strongly condemns. Sharan also said that the ban should be withdrawn andTogadia should be allowed to attend the convention. If the government will not lift the ban, thousands of VHP and Bajrang Dal members from Mangaluru will attend the convention in Bengaluru. Any untoward incident caused due to the ban on Togadia, the state government will be responsible, he said.

District working president of VHP Jitendra Kottari said that in 2014, the people of the nation have decided to make India, a congress free country, They voted for the BJP and Narendra Modi became the Prime minister of India. Now the congress government in the state is bringing anti Hindu policies, these policies are leading to make karnataka a congress free state soon.

Jitendra also said that the state government is allowing Owaisi and Benni Hinn to come to Bengaluru to deliver speeches but the state government is banningTogadia a Hindu from entering Bengaluru. From many years, the VHP has organized Hindu Samajotsava and there are no records of any untoward incidents taking place. Why the state government has banned Togadia from attending the Hindu Convention? he questioned. He said that state government should lift the ban and allow Togadia to attend the samajotsava, he also warned of intensifying the protest if the ban will not be lifted.
