Mangaluru: A youth called the police control room claiming that a bomb has been planted in the market area here on January 26.
After receiving the call at 1:00 pm, the police along with the bomb detecting squad and canine squad got into action and scanned the markets in the city but they did not find any explosive.
The youth has been identified as Afreed (18).
The police also traced the caller and detained him for investigation. The caller is 18-year-old and working in the Kankanady market. Kadri police are questioning the youth.
