Mangaluru/Udupi: Balakrishna Shibarla Udupi district Reporter of Vijaya Karnataka Daily has been selected for P Gopalakrishna (Pa Go) Award – 2014 for excellence in rural reporting.
The Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association is presenting this award every year in memory of Late Padyana Gopalakrishna Bhat.
Shibrala’s article ‘Naxal Police Madhye Nalugidavaru’, which was published on July 31, 2014 in the Vijayakarnataka, Kannada Daily newspaper was selected. The award carries Rs 10,000 Cash and a memento. The award distribution ceremony is scheduled on April 7 at the Press Club Auditorium Mangaluru.
