Marital Discord Leads 31-year-old Woman from Bikkarnakatte to Commit Suicide
Mangaluru: A 31-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence at Bikkarnakatte here on June 27.
The deceased has been identified as Sumathi (31), wife of Yashwant from Bikkarnakatte.
According to sources, Yashwant an electrician by profession was married to Sumathi from Odiyoor. After the marriage, Sumathi was living with her husband in Bikkarnakatte. Marital discord between the couple led Yashwant to apply for divorce. Yashwant had stopped coming home from the last one month.
It is suspected that marital problems led Sumathi to take the extreme step.
The Mangaluru Town police have registered a case and are investigating.
