Missing Woman Found Dead in Building Water Tank
Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a woman jumped into the water tank of her building and committed suicide at Yalahanka here.
The deceased has been identified as Gauri Nagaraj from Sub-Urban 4th Phase, Yalahanka.
According to sources, Gauri was residing in the apartment for many years. Gauri was missing since July 24 and the family members filed a missing person’s complaint in the Sub-Urban, Yalahanka police station. The police searched for Gauri at her relative’s and friends place but failed to trace her.
On July 27, her body was found in the water tank of the building. The police were informed, and the body was lifted from the water tank. Later the body was sent for post-mortem and COVID-19 test.
About 60 families reside in the building and consume the water from the water tank. It is suspected that Gauri committed suicide by jumping into the water tank.
A case has been registered, and investigation is on.
