MITK Kundapura holds Tenth Graduation Day

Kundapura: Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura (MITK), organized its Tenth Graduation Day ceremony at the institute premises on 23rd October 2017. The function commenced with an academic procession walking into the auditorium, with the conventional tune played at the background.

Prof.M.S. Shetty, who is considered as the Father figure of Concrete Technology in India has been the Chief Guest of the function.

In his address to the graduates, Prof.M.S. Shetty said that Engineers are highly involved in the development of the nation and fresh graduating engineers have to work in the spirit of patriotic dedication. He told that the earlier career path may not be a bed of roses so they have to be prepared for self sacrificing hard work in the service of nation. He advised young engineers to be prepared to handle a hard life and to sacrifice for the greater good.He called upon the fresh graduates to be progressive and to be the part of the transition of India into Super Power as the country needs the young Engineers. He further said that there are innumerableChancesto develop themselves and the country needs them. With this quality of Young Engineers, we can be confident of“Acche Din ZaroorAyenge”. He ended his speech by a Kannada Poem “Kannadanulidenage Anya Jeevanavilla….Bharathada Sanmana Enagadhuve Varamana”and called upon the Young Engineers to always keep their Country First.

Dr.G.P. Shetty Guest of Honour in his address asked the students to be honest and not to wait for the best opportunities, instead grab the opportunities as they come and work very hard to achieve success and to be the entrepreneurs themselves. He urged theStudents to work hard to develop their skills and should consistently work with sincerity, which is the key to success.

Chairman Siddarth Shetty declared the Graduation day open and later in his presidential address, congratulated the graduates on becoming professionals and urged them to do justice to their profession.

Principal Dr. Kataiah G.S. administered the institutional oath to the graduates and in his address said that the fresh graduates to be independent, responsible and to put more effort to survive in this competition world

Graduates who passed out during the academic year 2016 -17 received their graduation certificates from the chief guest, Prof.M.S. Shetty and Guest of Honour Dr.G.P. Shetty. Gold andSilver medals to the branch toppers were presented

Heads of the Departments, Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty of MITK were present. The event was hosted by  Rolita and Rihan, Poornima welcomed the gathering and Vote of thanks was given by Dhanashree. End of Graduation day was declared by the President of the event followed by National Anthem and Photo Session.
