Mrs India Dubai ’17 Ms Joyce Rego to host ‘Miss & Mrs Mangaluru 2018’

Mangaluru: Mangalurean beauty Mrs Joyce John Rego, on October 6, 2017, was crowned as ‘Mrs India Dubai 2017’ at the ‘Mrs India Earth’ grand finale in Delhi. She was among the top 25 contestants and the only finalist chosen among the 1000 applicants from the UAE. Ritika Vinay and Vinay Yadawa provided the platform to married women to showcase their talents and skills at ‘Mrs India Earth’.

Hailing from Jyothinagar, Paldane in Mangaluru, Joyce Rego is the daughter of John Gudinho and Christine Gudinho, and she is married to John Rego from Nagercoil, who is currently working in Dubai. Joyce is employed with the Government of UAE for 10 years and is the mother of two lovely children- Joylin Rego 8 years and Jonathan Rego 4.5 years. A simple and down-to-earth woman Joyce Rego had only dreamt about helping the underprivileged families/children and has now got a platform to work on her dream project. Any underprivileged family can change their life through right education, says Joyce. Joyce is also working on her dream project which will help the poor parents give their children the best quality of education which will in return help them change their life. Therefore now she has come up with a project of hosting “Miss & Mrs Mangaluru 2018”, and with the proceeds from that event going towards a good cause.

Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, “Mrs India Dubai 2017” Ms Joyce Rego said, “Rego Events Private Ltd., is proud to announce “Miss & Mrs. Mangaluru”, an exclusive pageant that will open a whole new world of opportunities to the talented women of Mangaluru. Auditions for the pageant will begin in the second week of September 2018 at The Gateway Hotel, Mangaluru and the registration will be done at the venue on the same day. After the auditions, 25 ‘Miss’ contestants and 25 ‘Mrs’ contestants will be selected as the finalists. They will be required to participate in a series of competitive events/assignments culminating with the grand finale on 22 December 2018 at The Gateway Hotel, Mangaluru”.

She further said, “This event is to support Rejoyce Mustard Garden, a website dedicated to helping in the education of underprivileged children, where I am also the Managing Trustee of Rejoyce Mustard Garden. The contest is open to all residents of Mangaluru. Mangaloreans settled elsewhere are also welcome to participate. The assignments which the contestants have to face will be revealed in stages as and when the contestants get finalized. Age category for “Miss Mangaluru” is 18-30, and for “Mrs Mangaluru” is 18-45″.

“Mrs India Queen of Substance Karnataka will be hosted in a franchise arrangement with ‘Mrs INDIA Earth’ pageant which is the national pride and treasure of India. Mrs INDIA Earth holds a yearly event for Indian women and the national Directors are Mrs Ritika Vinay and Vinay Yadawa. We will be starting Mrs India Queen of Substance – Karnataka from 2019 on a state level and the winners will get a chance to participate in the national level platform and the national level winners will participate in the international level. We want to focus on the entire idea of womanhood and motherhood while giving expression to the unique talents of women,” added Joyce Rego.

Dr. Asha Jyothi Rai-President, Buntara Yane Nadavara Matr Sangha Women’s Wing and President, Aasare Charitable Trust, who was also present on the dais addressing the media said, “This is a very good initiative by Ms Joyce Rego to support towards a good cause, which will help the poor parents give their children the best quality education which will in return help them change their life. And by organizing the forthcoming Miss and Mrs Mangaluru contest, Ms Rego has given a chance for the young women and married women to unleash their talents, and where she also wants to focus on the entire idea of womanhood and motherhood, while giving expression to the unique talents of women. We all need to support her unique event, thereby also helping those in need.

It is very delightful to learn that former Ms. Dubai is now sponsoring her own Show Contest in Mangalore under the title Miss and Mrs. Mangalore 2018. This is a marvelous idea indeed. Miss Joyce Rego has wonderful prospects ahead of her not only in Mangalore but also elsewhere in India. Since she has already established a Limited Organization under the name of Rego Events Private Limited, it appears that Lady Joyce Rego is on the right track of her long term career in Public Shows, and we are sure she will succeed in all her future ventures.
