Mysuru: Photojournalist S R Madhusudan ‘Captures’ First Slot in Contest Held by Zoo

Mysuru: Photojournalist S R Madhusudan, who has acquired a winning habit in the field of wildlife photography, has yet again won the first place in the annual competition organized by the Mysuru zoo this year.

He has captured a hair-raising shot of a tiger chasing a herd of spotted deer, which depicts the ferocity of the predator as well as the desperate run for life by the targets. This picture has just won the first place in the competition.

3. Bhaskar M R, Third

G S Ravi Shankar, C Manjunath, Abhishek M B and Vishwanath B won the certificates of merit in the category.

The winners in the zoo category are:

1. Mysore N Murali, First
2. Pruthvi B, Second
3. G S Ravi Shankar, Third

Certificates of merit in the category were won by Renu B G Certificate, Varunkumar S, M S Basavanna and Shivaprasad.

About Madhusudan S R

Born in 1976 in Mysore, Madhusudan studied Photography and Photojournalism at the Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA) in the city.

For ten years, he worked with Andolana daily newspaper. Over the past years, he has also been with a leading Kannada in the city as a photojournalist.

He has won the Best Photojournalist Award from the Mysore Press Club in 2008, 2009 and 2011. Other awards won by him include IIPC awards, Dum Dum Association Kolkata’s Photography award, Sam Circuit award at the national level.
