Why Nalin Kumar did not protest or Comment on Vinayak Baliga’s Murder – U T Khader

Mangaluru: “If killers of Karthik Raj will not be arrested Dakshina Kannada district will burn”, It is an immature statement by a matured MP. He has shown immaturity through his speech. An Elected member should know what to talk, where to talk and what not to talk, that is the primary qualification of an elected member. Karthik Raj was an innocent and decent man. All the people of Konaje mourn his death.  There is a demand from the locals to arrest the culprits in Karthik’s murder. The investigation officer is a relative of Karthik Raj. Why Nalin Kumar did not protest or Comment when Vinayak Baliga was Murdered?”.
U T Khader said, “The opposition is taking this case in a political way.  When Vinayak Baliga was killed why the same MP did not comment on the murder? For the funeral of Karthik, thousands of people gathered forgetting caste, creed, and religion. A few people are giving fire and playing with the blood of others to remain in power. When the culprits in Karthik Raj’s murder were not arrested, I along with other members visited Karthik’s house to take permission of his parents to hand over the case to the COD. They have agreed to hand over the case to the COD.  Accordingly, the case will be handed over to the COD. The case is under investigation and the inciting statement by the MP does not suit his position”.
U T Khader further said, “Being an MP Nalin should not incite people to create violence in the district through his speeches. His duty is to unite the people for the welfare of the society. Karthik Raj was killed in October but Nalin Kumar did not discuss the issue with any of the officers. Nalin Kumar has incited the people with his statement.  I condemn the inciting speech by the MP”.
When asked about whether a case will be filed against MP Nalin, Khader said the department will file a Suo Moto case because they have protested in front of the police station. We need a clarification from the MP as to where he will put fire and why he will set the district on fire.  We demand the MP to apologize to the people of the district for his inciting speech, which has hurt the people of the district.
