Naomi Watts turns child psychiatrist in ‘Shut In’

London, Sep 2 (IANS) The first trailer for Naomi Watts-starrer “Shut In” has been released online and features the actress as child psychiatrist Mary.

Mary’s life is turned into nightmare when she takes a boy named Tom, played by Jacob Tremblay, as her foster child.

The trailer opens with Mary saying: “It’s not my son. It’s just a body that I feed and wash and clothe”, while likely trying to end her son’s life, reports aceshowbiz.com.

She decides to take Tom in while her own son, played by Charlie Heaton, is in vegetative state.

“It’s like I have my little boy back,” she says, before Tom vanishes and is presumed dead.

Directed by Farren Blackburn, the thriller centers on a widowed child psychiatrist who lives in an isolated existence in rural New England. Caught in a deadly winter storm, she must find a way to rescue a young boy before he disappears forever.

Also starring Oliver Platt, David Cubitt, Crystal Balint, Ellen David, Tim Post and Alex Braunstein, “Shut In” is set to release on November 11.
