Newborn found Abandoned in Garbage Container in Udupi City
Udupi: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a garbage container at the Chittaranjan Circle, Udupi on Monday, August 10, morning.
According to sources, a civic worker of the Udupi city municipality heard the cries of a baby while he was cleaning the Chittaranjan circle area. He then started to search and found a newborn baby in the garbage container.
The civic worker immediately alerted social activist Nithyananda Volakad and shifted the baby to the Government women and child hospital. The baby is now safe, said hospital authorities.
A case has been registered in Women police station, Udupi.
