I did not kill anyone, I have said the truth – Pratibha Kulai

Mangaluru: “I did not kill anyone nor have I looted. I have said the truth. I am committed to my statement because the Sangha Parivar is using the backward class youth for their political gain. A group of youth have been commenting about me in the social media. I think they have such culture and we cannot expect more than that. In Karkala, during my speech, I adviced the youth of my community not to fall prey to such organizations. Communal forces insist the youth to get involved in crime. Innocent youth from the backward class commit crime and go to jail. I did not expect such reaction from the opposition. If they cannot digest the truth, why post cheap comments about me on the social media? They are giving life threats to me and my family. I will not be scared by such threats”, said Corporator Pratibha Kulai in a press meet held at the DCC office here, on February 12.

Pratibha Kulai further said, “I will not gain anything from politics. For me, my family is important. The Sangh Parivar is trying to create misunderstandings between me and my family members, but my family always supports me. I am hurt by the comments which have been posted on the social media. I think those who commented on me use the same language with their sisters. Those who made such comments have shown their culture through the social media. What can we expect from the politicians who play politics using the dead?”

Kulai stated that she would approach the police commissioner on this matter and file a complaint with the commissioner as well as at the Suratkal Police station.

Congress party spokesperson D K Ashok, B A Mohammed Haneef, U H Khalid, District Women’s Congress President Shalet Pinto and others were also present.
