Notorious Criminal Umar Farooq arrested After Shootout at Pachanady
Mangaluru: A notorious criminal who was wanted in 2 cases was shot at, by the police when he attacked them at Pachanady here on May 28 late night.
Notorious Criminal Umar Farooq was wanted in 2 cases. On May 28 night, the Kankanady Rural Police in an operation to arrest him were attacked by the accused at Pachanady. In retaliation and self-defense, the police opened fire at him.
Police-constable Sandeep was injured when he was attacked by the accused. The injured police constable Sandeep and accused Umar has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Umar Farooq was wanted in the case of conspiring to kill Sameer who is the accused in the Elyas murder case.
