The memorandum demanded disqualification of the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and the implementation of a definite pension for government employees. The NPS is an unscientific scheme that has increased the financial burden on the families of the government employees.

“It is the duty of the government to look after the welfare of its employees. It has been 10 years since the NPS was implemented and we don’t want it. It should be scrapped and a replacement pension scheme should be started. The families of the deceased NPS employees should also be given the facilities available prior to the implementation of NPS. PFRDA should also be retracted by the Central Government.” said President of KSGNPSEU, Santhosh.
