Nurse from Shirva Found Dead in Saudi Arabia
Udupi: A 28-year-old woman from Kuthyar near Shirva working as a nurse in Saudi Arabia’s Health Department Hospital was found dead in a suspicious manner in Saudi Arabia.
The deceased has been identified as Hazel Jyotsna Quadros wife of Ashwin Mathias a resident of Kuthyaru Shirva and daughter of Robert and Helen Quadros
Hazel was working as a nurse at the Al-Mikhwa hospital in Saudi Arabia for the last 6 years. On July 19 she had called her husband and spoken to him. After two days Ashwin Mathias received a call from Hazel’s colleague saying that Hazel had expired. Hazel’s husband and family members did not have any information on how Hazel had died or does anyone know the cause of her death.
Ashwin and Hazel had married four years ago, Ashwin is also working in Dubai. During the Ramadan holidays, Hazel had come down to Shirva and returned to Saudi Arabia.
MLC Ivan D’Souza and Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat have contacted the Union Foreign affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and she has assured all assistance. Meanwhile, the Shirva ZP member Wilson Rodrigues has also contacted the deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis. DC Priyanka is trying her best to get the information from the Saudi Embassy about the death of Hazel.
