Obstructing Woman ASI from discharging duty, Complaint registered
Udupi: A woman ASI was assaulted and obstructed from discharging her duty by a woman at the Women’s Police Station, Udupi here on February 3.
Muktha Bai is working as ASI in Udupi Women’s police station for 4 years. On Monday, February 3 she had joined duty after 4 days of leave. At around 11:30 am Usha Naik a resident of Kodankoor arrived at the police station and began using foul language against Muktha Bai, she also manhandled the ASI and assaulted her.
Muktha Bai has said in her complaint that Usha Naik had assaulted her and obstructed her from discharging her duty.
The Udupi Women police have registered a case and are investigating.
