Palemar Cannot Digest Development work in Suratkal – Moideen Bava

Mangaluru: The allegations made by former minister Krishna J Palemar in regard to the Suratkal Market are baseless. Palemar cannot digest the development work in Suratkal so he is putting false allegations on me”, said MLA Moideen Bava in a press meet held at his chamber, MCC here on March 30.

Addressing the mediapersons Bava said, “Palemar in a press conference had said that when he was the minister he had spent Rs 8 crore for the development of the Suratkal Market and Rs 3 crore for the road development work which is false and baseless. Such work has not been done in Suratkal”.

Bava also said, “The allegations made by Palemar on the construction of a temporary Market at Gomala Suratkal was an election gimmick. Whatever Palemar has alleged is far from the truth. Whatever assurances I had given to the people of my constituency during the elections, I have been fulfilling them. The funds of Rs 8 crore spent on the Suratkal market which Palemar claims should be investigated”, Bava stressed.

Bava blamed Palemar and said, “The funds which Palemar claims to have spent for the development of the roads in Suratkal, he alleged that the same have been spent to develop the roads approaching his apartments in Mangaluru”.

Bava also stressed that in Suratkal the vendors face severe problems because of the unscientific market. We have prepared a DPR of Rs 120 crore for the MCC Market, MUDA commercial complex, road development, and for the ground. The government is also ready for PPP model.

Corporator Basheer Ahmed, former corporator Harish and others were also present.
