Passenger Killed in Auto Rickshaw-Truck Collision at Hemmadi
Kundapur: A passenger was killed and the auto driver seriously injured on December 16 late night after the Auto-Rickshaw collided with a truck on NH 66 in front of the Anugraha Hotel Hemmadi here.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Poojary resident of Soraba and the Auto driver Chandrashekar sustained serious injuries.
According to the police, Ganesh was on his way to his in-laws house at Kannadkudru from Kundapur. When the auto was reached near Hemmadi a Truck which was coming from opposite direction hit the Auto Rickshaw. Ganesh was killed on the spot and the driver Chandrashekar sustained serious injuries. Chandrashekar was shifted to the hospital with help of the locals and police.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Traffic Police station.
