People of Karnataka are Confused, CM should Clarify on CAA and NRC – U T Khader

Mangaluru: “The Karnataka government has failed in administration and proved that they have no control. Under the Vasati scheme, people have not received any funds to construct houses, their old houses have been demolished and they are homeless now. Even the government employees are not getting their salary on time. To discuss such issues the winter session is not being held. Every year, a joint session is being held in January but this year no joint session has been held. People are confused about the CAA and NRC and the Chief Minister should clarify on this”, said the former minister and MLA U T Khader in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on January 13.

Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, “In the district, people are in confusion and fear, they don’t believe anyone. There is no clarity about CAA and NRC, if the Asha workers or medical officers approach anyone or visit their houses, they don’t open the door in fear. The government has so far not appointed any officers in regard to CAA or NRC. If anyone visits your house for other work, ask them the purpose of their visit. If they ask any questions, answer them, if they ask you to sign any papers, read and understand the content properly. Do not send them back without confirming their visit”.

Khader further said, “I have met Deputy commissioner Sindhu Roopesh today and requested her to clarify to the people about the appointment of officers for NCR and CAA. We will not allow the implementation of NCR and CAA in Karnataka. HM Amit Shah says that he will implement CAA and NRC but Prime minister Modi said that he will not implement CAA and NRC. Let them keep the truth in front of the people whether they will implement CAA and NRC in Karnataka or not.”
