PhD Degree Awarded to Prof Manjunath Kotari

Moodbidri: Prof. Manjunath Kotari, Head of the Department, Computer Science & Engineering of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri was conferred with PhD degree on 9th January, 2018 by Governor Vajhubhai Vala during the 17th Convocation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. PhD was awarded to Prof. Manjunath Kotari for his thesis titled “Formulation of a Framework for Security Mechanisms in the context of Adaptive Distributed Systems” under the guidance of Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and Dr. Nagesh H R., AJ Institute of Engg & Technology, Mangalore. The research work was carried out at the Research Center in NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.

Hailing from Amparu village in Kundapura Taluk, Prof Kotati studied in Govt. Higher Primary School, Amparu and Sanjaya Gandhi High School, Amparu. After his PUC in Bhandarkar’s Arts & Science College, Kundapura, Prof Kotari did his B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from R.V.College of Engineering, Bangalore and M.Tech in CSE from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte. He served 12 years in Computer Science & Engineering Department at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte and from the past 5 years, he is serving as the HOD, Computer Science & Engineering Department, Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri.
