New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS) “Piku”, “Haider” and “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” are among the Bollywood entertainers to be screened at the Indian Film Festival , which will take place in Russia from September 3-6 in Moscow.

It will be held at Formula Kino Gorizont and Indian Cultural Centre KSRK, according to a statement.

The four-day fest is aimed at bridging the gap between the two entertainment industries in the world – Russia and India.

With live music and dance performances in which Russian dancers will perform on Indian classical music, the event will offer the Russian community a unique opportunity to learn about India’s multi-faceted culture and long history of filmmaking.

“I think after Raj Kapoor, this is the second big thing (from India) that is happening in Russia. Russians have always loved Indian cinema and this shows the prominence that the film industry of India has gained,” RC Dalal, creative director of Indian Film Festival Worldwide, said in a statement.

“IFFW aims to make sure that Indian filmmakers reach the crossover audience which is still untouched. I thank Indian embassy for the support and making this film festival possible,” Dalal added.

Bollywood celebrities who will be going to attend the festival include Ayushmann Khurrana, Shoojit Sircar, Madhur Bhandarkar and Tabu.

“Vicky Donor” fame Shoojit Sircar is the ‘Director in Focus’ at the fest, where “Madras Cafe” and “Dil Dhadakne Do” will also be screened.
