Police handover Shiroor Moola Math to Sode Math
Udupi: The police, on August 27, handed over the Shiroor Moola Math in Hiriyadka, which was in their possession following the suspicious death of Shiroor Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji, to the Sode Math.
Following the Shiroor Swamiji’s mysterious death, the Shiroor Math was taken over by the police for investigations. During the time, the public was not allowed to enter the Moola Math although, daily pujas were allowed to be conducted. Till Monday, the Shiroor Math was under high police security.
On Monday, August 27, the police handed over the keys to the rooms of Shiroor Moola Math to the Math Manager Subrahmanya Bhat. Also, the police security was removed from the Math.
Speaking to media persons Udupi SP Laxman Nimbargi said, “Today We have handed over the Shiroor Moola Math to the Sode Math. But the investigations are still on”.
