Prashanth Nayak from Udupi Dies in Tragic Accident in Oman

Udupi: A man hailing from Udupi LVT Puttur here died in a tragic accident in Oman on August 20.

The deceased has been identified as Prashanth Nayak(40) residing near LVT Temple, Puttur Udupi.

According to sources, six persons including Prashanth Nayak were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between two cars. After the collision both cars caught fire. Others who were killed are identified as Ankush Sharma, Sushil Rukhayyar, and Gaurav Sharma from Jaipur who were in one car, and two persons in the other car also lost their lives.

Prashanth Nayak was earlier working in Dubai and had recently changed his job. On the occasion of Bakrid holidays, he had visited Oman along with his friends. The Body of Prashanth Nayak was fully charred in the collision.

The mortal remains are expected to reach the residence of Prashanth Nayak’s relatives in Mangaluru on September 3 or 4.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat has appealed to the Union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to help the family to bring the mortal remains back to his hometown.
