Prathiba Kulai Files Complaint against BJP Netas for Misusing her Photo in Pamphlet

Mangaluru: MCC Corporator/Councillor from Hosabettu Ward Prathiba Kulai has filed a complaint against Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa, and General Secretary Shobha Karandlaje for allegedly defaming her by misrepresenting her picture in the ‘charge sheet’ released by the party against the Congress government in Bengaluru.

In her complaint submitted to Police Commissioner T.R. Suresh on Monday, Corporator Kulai alleged that the BJP has wrongly used her photograph in the charge sheet referring to the alleged harassment to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) councillors Manjula Narayanaswamy and Mamata Vasudev. Ms. Kulai alleged such misrepresentation has defamed her. She has sought action against Prasad, who released the booklet and also against Yeddyurappa and Ms. Karandlaje. In response Police Commissioner Suresh has told the media that further action on the complaint by Ms Kulai will be taken after getting legal opinion on Tuesday.

Seems like this is a biggest blunder created by BJP in the recent past. Sources reveal that a pamphlet comprising of ‘charge sheet’ published by the BJP and recently released by union minister, had several allegations against the Congress party. The charge sheet mentions allegations against women corporators of BBMP). But the blunder created by BJP, while printing the pamphlet was that instead of the photo of BBMP councillor, they had incorporated the picture of MCC Councillor Prathiba Kulai.

Enraged over this issue, Ms Kulai holding BJP directly responsible for this blunder and seeking legal action against them, had filed a complaint with Police Commissioner T R Suresh. She has sought severe action against Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad, B S Yeddurappa, and Shobha Karandlaje,
