Vijaykumar further said that on September 21, there is a hearing in the Delhi court about the Yettinahole project. For a positive judgement and to drop the Yettinhaole project we will hold prayers in various Temples, Mosques and Churches on September 14.

On September 14, from 8:30 to 9:30am prayers will be held at Kadri Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple. From 10:00 to 10:30am prayers will be held at the Milagres Church. 11:00 to 11:30am prayers will be held at the Mangaladevi Temple, 12:00 to 12:30pm at Ullal Darga and from 1:00 to 1:30 pm at the Sri Gokarnantheshwara Kshethra Kudroli. Vijaykumar urged the people to come in large numbers and take part in the prayers.

Vijaykumar also said that the NRSS did not support the bandh on Kaveri water because the state government has neglected the people of Dakshina Kannada in the Yettinahole project, which is a double standard by the government. We do not want a step-motherly treatment by the state government. We are not against the farmers but we are against the double standard of the government. The state government is neglecting Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Karwar districts thinking that these three districts are not part of Karnataka state. For all these problems our elected representatives are directly responsible. Because of their silence, the people of the district are now suffering.

Advocate Dinakar Shetty, Dr Annayya Kulal, Purushotham Chitrapur, Rahim Uchil, Sashiraj Kolambe and others were also present.
