PSI of Channarayapatna Kiran Kumar Commits Suicide
Hassan: The PSI of Chennarayapatna police station committed suicide at his residence here on July 31.
The deceased has been identified as Kiran Kumar PSI of the Chennarayapatna police station.
According to the initial reports, on July 30 late night, Kiran Kumar was on duty and had participated in an operation to arrest the accused in a murder case. On July 31, at around 9:00 am after completing the legal procedures related to the murder case, he had gone home.
Later, Kiran Kumar committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan at his residence. The exact reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
It is learnt that two persons were murdered in Channarayapatna and Kiran Kumar had arrested the accused and taken them to the spot for investigations on July 30. After the spot investigations, Kiran Kumar had gone home on July 31 and committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan.
