Udupi: Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Puttige Math here has tested positive for the coronavirus on July 21.
According to the Math sources the Swamiji has tested positive on July 20 evening. The Swamiji is admitted to the KMC Hospital, Manipal and is under treatment.
As such, the Math was immediately sealed down. Many people had visited the Math and received Swamiji’s blessings. It is likely that during this period, he might have contracted the disease.
