Puttur: A strike of off-season lightning and rain has taken away a young woman’s life in Manthoor here on April 21.
The deceased has been identified as Rasheeda (29), wife of Basheer, a resident of Bollai, Sajipa Bantwal.
On April 21, Rasheeda along with her three children went to her sister’s house at Manthoor. At around 6:30 pm, there was heavy rain with thunder and lightning. Rasheeda was sitting in the hall when the Lightning struck her. She was killed on the spot. She is survived by husband and three children.
A case has been registered at the Kadaba police station.
