Remember Ranu Mondal from Ranaghat who went viral for her song? She just recorded with Himesh Reshammiya

Do you remember the woman who was spotted singing Lata Mangeshkar’s song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at the Ranaghat station in West Bengal and went viral soon after? Well, Ranu Mondal just recorded her first song with Himesh Reshammiya for his upcoming film as the musician shared a clip of it on Instagram.

In the short video, Ranu Mondal is seen recording the song in her “divine voice”, titled Teri Meri Kahaani, in Himesh’s presence. The musician also encourages her as she sings with her heart and soul.

“All your our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them, a positive attitude can really make dreams come true,” an excerpt from Himesh’s caption for the post read. We couldn’t agree more.

The video has been viewed over 1 lakh times within hours of being made available online. “Respect,” a user said while another added that the song will indeed turn out to be “awesome”.

Ranu Mondal from Bengal’s Nadia district is also known as the ‘Lata of Ranaghat’. Atindra Chakraborty, a 26-year old engineer, had first heard Ranu singing a Mohammed Rafi number at Ranaghat station, and requested her to continue.

Ranu, thereafter, sang Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, and Atindra recorded it on his phone. He shared it on Facebook soon after and of course, she went viral.
