Los Angeles, Dec 12 (IANS) Oscar-winning director Ron Howard has been feted with another star on Walk of Fame on account of his contribution to the TV and film industries.

Howard was supported at the ceremony by his family, including his wife Cheryl and daughter Bryce Dallas – and actor Michael Keaton, whom he has directed in several movies, reports femalefirst.com.

The four-time Oscar nominee and two-time winner remains one of the most in-demand directors in Hollywood, having helmed a string of hit movies during his career, including “A Beautiful Mind”.

He is currently directing the final part of the Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon trilogy, “Inferno”.

However, it was as a TV actor where Howard initially came to the fore, starring as Richie Cunningham in the legendary series “Happy Days”, which ran for a decade and also starred fellow Hollywood actor Henry Winkler.

On leaving the show, he turned his hand to directing and has since developed a reputation for being adept at helming different types of movies, such as “Willow”, “Apollo 13” and “Rush”.
