Santiago de Querétaro (Mexico), May 22 (IANS) Veteran striker Ronaldinho has thrown tantrums after being substituted during Queretaro FC’s clash against Pachuca during the first leg of Mexico’s premier football league, Liga MX semi-final.

The 35-year-old Brazilian signed for the Mexican club last year but his early days here have been filled with tension between himself and the coaching staff, reports goal.com.

Most of his appearances this season have been as substitutes but on Thursday head coach Victor Manuel Viucetich asked him to start.

The sending off of Queretaro defender Ricardo Osorio with the outfit down 0-2, Victor had to take off the former Barcelona forward in order to limit the damage.

Ronaldinho did not respond well to the decision and stormed into the changing room before taking off his kit and leaving the stadium.

Ronaldinho was an intergral part of the Brazilian team that won the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He represented the five-time world champions in 97 matches.

During his peak, Ronaldinho played for top clubs like Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). But age and form caught up with him and he was forced to move back to Brazilian club Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro. He signed up for Queretaro last year.
