Rural Exposure Camp ‘Taranga’ for MSW Students inaugurated at N R Pura

Chikkamagaluru: The School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya in association with Social Welfare Society N R Pura and Honnekudige Gram Panchayat jointly organized the Rural Exposure Camp “Taranga”, at St Antony Primary and Higher Primary School Hanthwani here on November 27.

The Rural Exposure Camp “Taranga” was inaugurated by the director of the Norbertine special school, N R Pura Fr Cleetus by lighting the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries.

Addressing the MSW students of Roshni Nilaya Fr Cleetus said, “I am very happy that MSW students from Roshni Nilaya have chosen Hanthwani, N R Pura to hold their Rural Exposure Camp. In this camp, students will get a very good experience of rural life. During the camp, you will face difficulties which you should accept positively. This experience will help you in your future. I wish all the students a pleasant stay in Hanthwani, N R Pura”.

The HOD Social Work department (PG) Roshni Nilaya Dr Meena Monteiro presided over the programme. Fifty-five students from the first year MSW participated in the Rural Exposure Camp to study the education, health and the lifestyle of the people in Rural areas in N R Pura.
