Senior BJP Leader Malpe Somashekar Bhat Passes Away
Udupi: Senior BJP leader Malpe Somashekar Bhat (Somanna) passed away on February 4. He was 89.
As the senior leader of the Jana Sangh, Somashekar Bhat played a vital role in establishing the Bharatiya Janata Party in Udupi District. He had previously served as the vice president of TMC in Udupi.
He is closely associated with veteran BJP leader L K Advani and Late Dr V S Acharya.
Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, Yashpal Suvarna MLA Udupi and other BJP leaders condoled his death.
