Sexual Assault on Minor Girl, three arrested, four at large

Beltangady: A minor girl being impregnated after she was sexually assaulted by seven youth has been reported here in Dharmasthala police station limits.

According to the reports, due to ill-health, the girl was brought to Mangaluru for a check-up. During the medical test, it was learnt that the girl was raped and is now seven-months pregnant.

When the girl was questioned, she revealed that one of the accused befriended her and promised to marry her. The boy had a physical relationship with the girl and later had 6 of his friends rape her.

The girl is now seven months pregnant. A case has been registered against all the seven in the Dharmasthala police station under the POCSO act.  The police have so far arrested three persons and search is on for the other accused.
