Simha mocks at Prakash Raj over defamation case

MP Pratap Simha said, actor Prakash Raj has sincerely admitted his value in the society, before the court itself, by filing a defamation case against him, claiming a damage of Re 1.

He was addressing a media conference, here on Wednesday, after Raj filed a case against him in a city court, on Tuesday, for sharing a post that said ‘Raj slept with a woman, when his son died’, on the social media.

“It would have been better if Raj had filed the defamation case of three paise (muru kaasu) as that is his value among the people for his cinema and also personal life,” he said.

When asked about Raj’s comments on him, Simha said, “My worth is known to the people of Mysuru and Kodagu district, who have elected me as their representative. My office in Mysuru had received his notice in my absence. It was from one Prakash Raj from Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. The name led to confusion. I had written a letter to the person to clarify whether he is Prakash Raj or Prakash Rai. It is unfortunate that some people change their names to suit their convenience like in the movies.”

Responding to Raj’s comments on Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde, Simha said, his call to the people not to vote for Hegde is funny. “Does he know what makes a person a leader. Can he contest an election and win. Let him contest on Congress ticket itself,” he challenged.

“If the law and order in the state has collapsed, one should question the chief minister. Where does Prime Minister Narendra Modi figure in the maintenance of law and order in Karnataka? Not just in films, Raj is a villain even in real life,” he said.
