Skating Gone Fighting! A Fight between 2 Skaters at Competition in City goes Viral

Mangaluru: In a shameless incident, which is a big blow for the National Skating Federation, where a physical fight between two skating competitors in between the competition held in Mangaluru at HiFi Skating Club at Francis Doris Skate City- Hoige Bail-Mangaluru on November 26 has gone viral in various social networking sites.

Sources reveal that the two skating participants had fought in the rink during the 33rd state level skating championships, organised by HiFi Skating Club since couple of days.It is learnt that in the final round of competitions for above 16 years was in progress, the two participants namely Raghavendra and Ankith, hailing from Bengaluru intentionally banged against each other and toppled before crossing finish line. Out of anger Raghavendra got up and punched Ankith, which was quickly intervened by Referees and both of them being separated.

While this incident was captured on video and went viral on social media, many have criticized the incident stating that how can a skating event reach to such a low standard. It is also learnt that the fight between these two skaters could be due to a revenge of the incident that took place last when the same duo had a fight during a competition. Since no action was taken by the state skating association, these two might have taken the revenge here in Mangaluru at the competition. A case has been registered at Urwa Police station and the police are investigating into the exact motive behind this tussle.
