SP Office Staff Hema Dies in Road Mishap at Kumbhashi
Kundapur: A district police office staff was killed and her husband seriously injured after their motorbike collided into another Bike on NH 66 near Kumbhashi Junction under the Kundapur Police Station limits on Wednesday, July 31 night.
The deceased has been identified as Hema (32), she was working at the SP office, Udupi. Hema’s husband Nagaraj Kothwal (35) has been seriously injured. Nagaraj is working as a second division clerk at the forest officers office in Kundapur.
According to the police, Nagaraj and Hema were on their way home after finishing the farewell party of a forest officer. When they reached the Kumbhashi Junction and took a right turn towards the Temple Road, a bullet motorbike coming from the opposite direction collided into their bike. Hema who was thrown to the road suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot. Nagraj has also suffered serious head injuries and is admitted to the Manipal Hospital.

A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station.
