St Aloysius College Army Cadet Badal Rawat & his Family Stitch Face Masks for Mluru Coast Guard

Mangaluru: COVID-19 is a serious challenge as it is affecting millions and costing the lives of thousands globally. This deadly disease has caused serious problems in our nation too as India is witnessing a surge in the number of infected cases which has led to a shortage in personal protective equipment (PPE).

Amidst this crisis, Regtl No -KA19SDA371539 Cadet Badal Rawat of St. Aloysius College, 18-Kar NCC Bn, Mangaluru group, realized his duty as a citizen of this nation. He and his family members responded positively to this situation and decided to prepare masks using pieces of cloth available at home. They started preparing about 50 masks a day with the help of an electric sewing machine. These home-made masks are all handed over to the Indian Coast Guard, Mangauru, based at New Mangalore-Panambur, for the safety of their medical staff, who are fighting against this deadly disease.

In this way, he is upholding the principles of NCC by rendering his invaluable service to help the front line workers to fight against coronavirus.
