Starting problem: In-charge SP Helps push Stalled Bus at Toll Plaza

Udupi: The protest at the toll plaza at Sastan witnessed police officials pushing a bus which had stalled due to some technical glitch. The bus which had stalled had blocked the smooth movement of vehicles in the national highway.

Additional Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan who is also the In-charge SP, soon intervened and gave a call to his men to push the bus so that it could be started, he too joined hands to push the bus.

Brahmavar Circle Inspector Srikanth along with other police officials pushed the bus and cleared the road to allow free movement of vehicles.

  1. The local administration is very backward in their minds, thoughts,
    and in their action.

The RTO must have a heavy duty Towing Vehicle that is capable of
towing a bus, lorry, or a Mini Lorry/Bus, ready at all times, to take
    care of situations like these.

In no country in the world you will notice any Police or RTO staff
pushing a bus! They like such tamasha the media are somehow
present in such situations, to shoot such stupidty.

Instead, the RTO must clear all the private lorries, mini buses,
and taxis parked on the new Service Roads – as if the service
roads are made for parking their vehicles. These vehicles block
the smooth flow of traffic. If the RTO have not noticed this, as
in every case, then they should step out of their comfort zone,
and take a walk on the NH66. You don’t expect people to tell
the RTO to do their job by filing written comlaints – people
are not paid for this – instead they are appointed and paid to
do their jobs – of one which is this case of Parking on Main Roads
    and Service Roads.
