Sullia: Bride-to-be Elopes with Lover Just Hours before Scheduled Marriage!

Sullia: A curious case of a love triangle resulting in elopement has been538835-triangle-pg reported from Kadaba.

Dr Divakar (name changed) from Aivattoklu Doddamane in Panja of Sullia taluk who runs a clinic in Kadaba was to get married to Dr Kavita (name changed) hailing from Kalige in Bilinele village near Kadaba but serving as a doctor in Bengaluru, in the Panchalingeshwara temple hall in Panja on Monday.

The groom had arranged for lunch for about 2,000, by spending over Rs 2 lakh. Their engagement had taken place eight months ago. The ‘mehndi’ ceremonies of both of them too was held earlier this week. Kavita’s friends from Bengaluru.

But with just hours left for the wedding, the bride-to-be is said to have gone missing around 4 am on Monday. Enquiries revealed the background of her disappearance. While she worked in Bengaluru as a doctor, she had got friendly with Vinay (name changed), a surgeon of Tumakuru origin.

She was subsequently persuaded to keep away from him and the engagement with Divakar was arranged eight months ago. But the flame of love appeared to continue flickering. Vinay had arrived at the mehndi party on Sunday and had been politely sent away.

But it came to light that she left with him for Bengaluru in the early hours of Monday, the very day of marriage. Now Divakar has filed a complaint in the Kadaba police station and has claimed the expenses incurred over lunch and other things.
