Suo Moto Case filed against Jagadish Shenava for Controversial Speech
Mangaluru: A suo moto case has been registered on January 30, against the district VHP President Jagadish Shenava for delivering a controversial speech during a book release programme held at the T V Ramana Pai Hall on January 28.
On January 28, a book “Hadedavvana Shapa” was released at the T V Ramana Pai Hall. During the programme, Jagadish Shenava had said, “Basheer’s murder was revenge for Deepak Rao’s murder. We are not worried about Basheer’s murder. If Sharath Madival was murdered as a revenge for Ashraf’s murder why then Basheer cannot be assaulted for innocent Deepak’s murder?”
Various organizations demanded the arrest of Jagadish Shenava and submitted memorandums to the Deputy Commissioner.
The city police have taken up the investigations and a case has been registered in the North Police station under section 153 (A), 116 IPC.
