Taking Back George to Cabinet will be ‘End of Congress’ – Poojary
Mangaluru: “Installing K J George to the cabinet will be the end of Congress”, said Senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary in a press meet at, Gokarnanatheshwara Temple Kudroli here on September 18.
After performing the Urulu Seve Poojary spoke to the mediapersons at the temple office. When questioned about the clean chit given to former Home minister K J George on DySP Ganapathi suicide case, Poojary said, “It is the end of Congress. It is not possible to save Congress if K J George will be taken back into the cabinet. What is the value of the dying declaration? To save George and other two officers the case was handed over to the CID, Whatever the CM says, the CID team follows. The DySP Ganapathi case is closed with a B Report. For how many years more CM can save K J George? After two years again there will be an election and if the opposition comes to power they will re-open the case. Why the CM is giving an opportunity for the opposition to do this?”
When asked about the statement of a congress leader that it was not a dying declaration, Poojary said, “Whoever says it is not dying declaration, he does not know the law. It was a dying declaration because no person will tell lies before he dies. DySP Ganapathi has clearly mentioned in a TV interview about the reason for his death and the harassment he had faced from K J George and other two officers”.
When asked about the CID investigation which is not proper, will you recommend to hand over the case to CBI, Poojary said, “If the case will be handed over to CBI, again there will be same allegation, instead the case should be handed over to the Supreme court. The supreme court will give a fair judgement on this case”.
