Tendulkar delighted to be part of Monarch’s cricket and Bollywood Cruise

Mumbai, Jan 27 (IANS) Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar was on Wednesday delighted to be a part of and launch the first ever luxury Monarch Cruise that will bring together the best names of cricket and Bollywood and also allow the passengers to get close and personal with their favourite icons.

The faces of this cruise are brand ambassadors Tendulkar, pace great Brett Lee and spin legend Shane Warne.

The trio will be joined by Sri Lanka star batsman Kumar Sangakkara, New Zealand batting great Brendon McCullum and former Australia cricketer Damien Martyn, to name a few.

The cricketers will be joined by stand-up comic Vir Das, DJ Khushi, singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Neha Kakkar, actress Neha Dhupia, rapper Badshah and chef Sanjeev Kapoor with many more to be added to the line up of entertainment to appear throughout the cruise itinerary both on-ship and at events.

Tendulkar who will appear at the Mumbai gala event said he is looking forward to meeting his fans in a different way.

“This is such a unique concept and I am delighted to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to joining with many of my international cricketing friends as we bring a slice of cricket history to the fans in a way never seen before,” Tendulkar said at the launch here on Wednesday.

Brett Lee who was not present at the launch said in a video message, “The Monarch Indian cricket and bollywood Cruise promises to be the ultimate tour for Indian cricket and movie buffs. I am looking forward to being a part of it as we cruise on the journey of a lifetime.”

Celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor will present passengers with delightful culinary experiences of various cuisines.

DJs will be entertaining the passengers and celebrities with music like never before.

It will be a seven-day leg, two 13-day legs and one 26-day leg experience for the cruise enthusiasts. The journey will include destinations like India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
