Thirty-four Persons Test Positive in DK On July 6

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, thirty-four persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and two persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 6.

Out of the thirty-four positive cases, seventeen persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Nine persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and one person is suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. The health officials are tracing the contacts of two others.

On July 6, morning a-50-year-old man from Ullal breathed his last at the COVID hospital without responding to treatment. Another 52-year-old man from Kuthar who was admitted to the COVID hospital with heart disease and pneumonia died of COVID-19.

All the thirty-four persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, twenty-nine persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
