Threat Messages on WhatsApp to SFI Secretary, Accused Arrested

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South police have arrested a youth for sending threat messages to SFI Secretary and uploading her photographs on WhatsApp group, from Pumpwell here on January 13.

The arrested has been identified as Hari alias Harish alias Kakkinje Harish (22), from Beltangady.

According to the complaint filed by SFI Secretary Shaila (Name Changed), members of the SFI organizations were on an official tour when they had taken some photographs and uploaded on Facebook. Hari downloaded some of their photographs from the Facebook and uploaded them to the WhatsApp group. While forwarding the photographs he had sent threatening messages.

In this connection, Shaila had filed a complaint on January 9 in the Mangaluru South Police Station. Based on the complaint the Mangaluru South police arrested Hari from Pumpwell and confiscated his mobile phone.

Hari was produced before the court where he was remanded to Judicial custody.

In this case, more accused are yet to be arrested and the investigation is on.

  1. I don’t know the exact details. However, threatening is not acceptable under any circumstances. I hope that this guy learns a lesson. On the same note, media outlets accused ‘Sanathana Samstha’ for Gowri Lankesh Murder with no evidence and never apologized. When are those ‘journalists’ getting arrested for putting sanathana samstha members in a danger?
